From mid-December, you can skate on the Raadhuisplein. An ice rink will be set up in the village centre until early January, where (especially children) can enjoy skating laps. Skates can be hired on site. And parents stay warm with cake and biscuits.

Several Christmas markets are organised near Zandvoort. At 10 minutes by train, you will find the largest Christmas market in the Netherlands in Haarlem on the second weekend of December. Travel another 20 minutes further by train and you can also visit the Christmas market in Amsterdam.

Zandvoort has plenty of restaurants where you can settle down for a cup of hot chocolate or a gluhwein. And also on the beach you will find 5 year-round pavilions in winter. Nice for after a refreshing walk. Almost all restaurants offer a special Christmas menu during the holidays.

Because of the lower winter rate, parking is cheap right by the sea, so you don’t have to leave it at that. And the dog is allowed, even in the various year-round pavilions.
