The cosy and authentic village of Zandvoort is easy to overlook. For a bit of shopping, there are several shopping streets where you can go to nice shoe shops, trendy boutiques and trendier clothes shops. For a tasty cappuccino or lunch, settle down on a terrace on the Kerkplein or Raadhuisplein, among others. Besides the big supermarkets, you will also find artisanal shops for cheese, wine, chocolate and tea.

Car-free shopping and drinks

In Zandvoort, you can shop and enjoy a bite to eat and a drink undisturbed. No cars are allowed in Kerkstraat and Kerkplein. In July and August, the Haltestraat is also car-free. From 17.00 to 02.00 you can relax, shop and have a drink there.

Market in the centre

Every Wednesday from 09:00 to 16:00, you will find the convivial weekly market on the Grote Krocht in Zandvoort. Here you can stroll past stalls full of fresh fruit and vegetables, artisan cheese, freshly baked bread and other delicacies. Besides food, you can also find jewellery, clothes and other fun items here. The market is open all year round and is the place to shop local and fresh.

Historic Zandvoort

A real eye-catcher in the village is Circus Zandvoort, with its striking design by architect Sjoerd Soeters. On the cosy Gasthuisplein you will find the Zandvoort Museum, the centre for art and history. Stroll through the atmospheric ‘sloppies’ behind the beach and discover the charming fishermen’s cottages and stately sand-coloured villas with bay windows and verandas.

By train to Zandvoort

It takes 30 minutes to get to Zandvoort trainstation from Amsterdam Central Station. Ideal for a quick visit to the beach or the city centre!

By bus to Zandvoort

Zandvoort is easily accessible by bus. Several lines connect the village with the surrounding regions, with stops close to the beach and centre.

Out and about with your dog

Zandvoort is dog-friendly! Your four-legged friend is welcome on many terraces and there are lovely walking routes through the dunes and along the beach.
