In November 2023, Mel’s Pintxos Wine Bar opened its doors. The restaurant has a unique location, namely in the middle of ‘the chicken stairs’. That may not mean much to you, but it is the staircase that offers a passage from the Zeestraat to the center of Zandvoort. After running a beach pavilion for 31 years, owners Jeroen and Hanneke were ready for a new challenge in 2022. And they found it in the Pintxos & Winebar.
At Mel’s you can order the most delicious tapas and pintxos, small sandwiches with different toppings. A fun way to share your food. In order to prepare the dishes as well as possible, the owners have followed a course in Bilbao. In this way they try to convey the taste and experience as well as possible here on the coast.
