Get a breath of fresh air all year round on a coastal holiday. In summer, soak up the sun on a beach bed or take up active water sports. If the weather is not so good, put on a jumper and go beachcombing, you are guaranteed to find beautiful shells! After such a lovely day, walk back to your holiday home in a relaxed manner. In Zandvoort, you will find numerous holiday homes by the sea, close to the sea at the edge of the dunes or at a park in the dunes.
Apart from the holiday homes at the various parks, there are very different special holiday homes where you can also stay overnight.
Sunset and sunrise. The murmur of the sea, sand at your feet, the sound of seagulls, a spectacular kitesurfer, an evening walk and the fresh, salty sea air. You never want to leave! Sleeping on the beach is experienced as one of the most special overnight stays. You can sleep on the beach at several places in Zandvoort between April and October. Several beach pavilions have some holiday homes next to their restaurant. So you can spend a wonderful night and breakfast, lunch and dinner are never far away.
In the old centre of Zandvoort, you will find beautiful authentic fishermen’s cottages. Little white houses in the narrow streets also called ‘sloppies’. Whole families used to live in these houses. Now they are often joined together and completely refurbished to today’s standards. Some have even been converted into guesthouses, making it possible for tourists to stay overnight completely in the atmosphere of old Zandvoort. You can often still see old details here, such as stained-glass windows, wooden beams and floors. Old photographs or small paintings, often framed by the residents, show how things used to be here. You step back in time for a moment!
