Zandvoort beach offers various facilities to ensure a comfortable day at the coast. There are showers at various beach pavilions, playgrounds for children, and the Lifeguard Brigade supervises for a safe beach experience.
During the beach season (from April to October), you can take a refreshing shower at various beach pavilions:
Manii Beach
Bodhi Beach (at North Sea Watersports centre)
Ohana (cold outdoor shower)
Tent 6 (cold outdoor shower)
ONS
The Spot
Showers can also be found on the Boulevard near the camper van parking spaces and at Zilt at Sea (a one-minute walk from the station and beach).
De Rotonde
In the De Rotonde building, between Beachclub Tien and beach pavilion De Haven van Zandvoort, you will find a public toilet with changing rooms (paid). These facilities are only open when the weather is good. In addition, you can often use the toilets at the beach bars for a fee.
On Zandvoort beach, you will find various playgrounds at beach bars: Thalassa with climbing frames and slides, Tent 6 with sand and play areas, Bodhi Beach with trampolines and puzzles, and The Spot with a slackline and other play equipment. But don’t forget: with a bucket and spade, the whole beach is one big playground!
First Aid station
During the beach season, the First Aid station De Rotonde on the boulevard at Badhuisplein is open for anyone needing help. Staff can assist with injuries or emergencies, and the station also acts as a contact point for missing children and other emergency services. Zandvoort Lifeguards monitor safety on the beach and in the sea, from their posts on the North and South beaches as well as from the water.
Zilt at Sea
At Zilt at Sea, you can use a large locker to safely store your suitcase or other valuables. This allows you to explore the beach without any worries. Reservations can be made easily online.
Zandvoort is one of the few places where you can easily access the beach from the promenade, thanks to the sloping ramps at most beach entrances. For visitors who use a wheelchair, several beach pavilions offer beach wheelchairs: Tijn Akersloot, De Haven van Zandvoort and Thalassa. A beach wheelchair is specially designed to be pushed over sand and uneven surfaces, so you can reach the beach comfortably and safely. The wheelchairs are not electrically powered. At Thalassa, it is necessary to book in advance.
The beaches of Zandvoort offer everything you need for a wonderful day at the seaside: from beach pavilions and sports areas to family beaches and nature. Discover all the possibilities and practical information about Zandvoort beach.
