Forests, dunes, beach and villa villages make up the municipality of Bloemendaal. The villages of Bloemendaal, Overveen, Aerdenhout, Bennebroek and Vogelenzang all have their own character, while the beach of Bloemendaal aan Zee can also be called the Ibiza of the Netherlands. Here you will find the hippest beach pavilions, which regularly host big beach parties.

Bloemendaal aan Zee

Bloemendaal beach, also called Bloemendaal aan Zee, is directly adjacent to Zandvoort beach, but has a different atmosphere. Whereas Bloemendaal aan Zee used to be mostly known for its crazy festivals and parties, we now see more and more upscale and tasteful beach bars appearing in Bloemendaal.

Parnassia

Parnassia beach is in the middle of South-Kennemerland National Park between Bloemendaal aan Zee and IJmuiden. It is one of the few places where your dog is allowed to run free on the beach all year round. Near the beach, you will find year-round pavilion Parnassia aan Zee, which even has its own ‘Dog menu’. As the pavilion is in the middle of a nature reserve, it closes every day at sunset.
