Stroll through the dunes

Enjoy nature with the family and take a walk through the dunes of Zandvoort. Great encounters and memories are guaranteed.

Quality time in nature

Free time: time to clear your head and enjoy the people around you. A cosy weekend with the family on the coast. A weekend full of quality time, activities and entertainment. Fun comes first, because a day without laughter is a day unlived.

Enough to see

When you drive into Zandvoort, you see it immediately. The streets are bustling, the promenade is busy and the sea is full of water sports enthusiasts. There is plenty to see and do. You won’t get bored in the park where you live either. Bowling, jumping, an escape room and of course the swimming paradise: Even the kids love it.

See bison and feel foxes

After you have checked in, you take your luggage to the hut. The children immediately start exploring and you soon realise that you are equipped with every comfort. It’s time to grab the rented bikes and head to the national park visitor centre.

After a short ride along the promenade and the national park, you arrive at the visitor centre. Of course, the children will want to play in the playground first. Then you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee in the dune café. The stuffed European bison immediately attracts attention, but the interactive parts are also very popular.

Lunch at Gestrand

Your stomach is starting to growl, so it’s time for lunch. On the way there you pass Camping de Lakens, which has a great place for lunch. Restaurant Gestrandis fully equipped for children. With not only normal chairs, but also swings for seating and a view of the large outdoor playground. And when it starts to splash, they can simply play in the playground below the restaurant.

Nature in Zandvoort

Banging antlers during mating time

Then it’s time for the next activity: deer spotting in the water supply dunes. And you’re in luck, because it’s rutting season, the mating season of the stags and therefore a chance to see fighting stags. The guide will take you to places where he knows the deer are common. Together you stroll through the dunes. And yes: first you heard them “growling”, but now you see them hunting. The sound of their antlers is louder than you expected. What an experience!

Dinner at The Grill

It’s starting to get dark, so it’s high time to head back to the park. First a drink in the Grand Café and then dinner in The Grill restaurant. While the children choose something from the children’s menu, you quickly make your choice: Mixed Grill it is! While you eat, you discuss what else you want to do. Go home after dinner or…?

The next morning...

This hour of bowling was a good decision. The perfect end to a fun day: just what you needed. And after breakfast, before you head back home, you go to the beach, of course. Come along to the football and enjoy the fresh sea air. It’s a weekend you won’t forget.
