Eating out with children in Zandvoort? Discover the best child-friendly restaurants where everyone has fun!
In Zandvoort, families can enjoy relaxed meals in child-friendly restaurants. Whether it’s a cosy lunch on the beach or a restaurant with a play corner, there are plenty of places where parents and children feel welcome. From delicious children’s dishes to fun activities for the little ones – here, dining becomes a celebration for the whole family. Here you will find the best tips for dining out together.
Take a breathtaking walk through the Amsterdam water supply dunes. Get off the paths, watch the deer up close, wander through the dunes and find the bunkers hidden there. The water supply dunes on the southern edge of Zandvoort are beautiful and varied. It is an area where you can easily walk for several hours. And afterwards you can relax in the Dune aan de Duinrand, at the entrance to the area on the Zandvoortselaan. In addition to the pancake speciality, the restaurant has an extensive menu. So you’re spoilt for choice!
All parents will agree. If you ask them what their child would like to eat, one of the three P’s of the children’s diet quickly comes up: pancakes, pizza or chips. Not always healthy, but almost always a success. And for the best pizzas in Zandvoort, go to Ristorante Andrea. In this Italian restaurant on the cosy Kerkplein in the centre of Zandvoort, the dishes are prepared the way “di mama” would do it. With fresh food and lots of love. And you can taste it. Because not only the pizzas are ‘delizioso’; the ‘zuppe’, ‘insalata’ and (anti-)pasta are also delicious!
With all the play equipment, the swimming paradise with rapids, bowling alleys and a climbing wall, Center Parcs Park Zandvoort is of course ideally equipped for families with children. Unsurprisingly, the restaurants here are also particularly child-friendly. Visit the Flip Flop Cafe for a small appetite, Frites Affairs for a tasty snack, Grabber Joe’s Laguna Cafe if you want a delicious panini or sandwich and The Grill for the best grilled dishes. For big eaters, there is an “all you can eat” buffet at The Market restaurant.
Like Dune aan de Duinrand, De Zeerover also specialises in pancakes. The difference lies in the location. Where you visit Dune after a walk in the dunes, you go to De Zeerover after a day at the beach. The restaurant is located on the Badhuisplein on the promenade, so you can eat your pancakes with a view of the sea. And not just any pancakes, because they come in all shapes and sizes: from a simple one to a Captain Hook, with bacon and brie, among other things, or a Koos Kombuis, filled with savoury chicken and a fresh salad.
With over 30 beach pavilions, you can’t avoid it: Eating on the beach. And why not? From the terrace, you can easily keep an eye on your children while they’re having fun. Many pavilions have climbing frames or swings, and if not, a shovel and bucket will suffice. There are special children’s dishes on the menu almost everywhere, so there’s always something to suit their tastes.
Ice cream is part of the festive season. For dessert or as a snack. And it doesn’t even have to be bloody hot, because ice cream is always an option. Even if you think you’ve had your fill, there’s always a place left – ice cream melts into everything. Fortunately, there are delicious ice cream parlours in Zandvoort.
The San Remo ice cream parlour in the Kerkstraat is a real classic with a large selection of artisan scoop ice cream. It tastes good enough to eat.
When you say ice cream, you also say Luciano. This popular ice cream parlour in Schoolstraat is known for its fresh, artisanal ice creams and has a surprising selection every day.
