You are travelling to Zandvoort with your 3 best friends. To your right, you see kitesurfers making metre-high jumps as the Zandvoort skyline approaches. Your favourite playlist is playing on the radio and you know it’s going to be a great weekend with the boys.
This weekend had everything
The weekend in Zandvoort was fantastic. I rented a cottage with my three best friends and we had an amazing time. It was everything you could want for a perfect weekend: mountain biking along the race track, racing each other on a simulator, good food on the beach and a few drinks in the village. This weekend had it all.

Thematic lodge stay in a Roompot
You park the car at Roompot Zandvoort, where you are staying. After checking in, you and your friends take your luggage to the themed accommodation. The theme is already clear outside the accommodation: the stacked tyres, the Martini stripes and the winner’s podium exude Formula 1 and the interior design also breathes speed. There are even two racing simulators!
Food and drink
Lunch break at our own beach club
After a round of sim racing and a photo with the winner on the podium, it’s time for lunch. And you don’t have to go far for that, because in addition to beautiful lodges, the Roompot Zandvoort also has its own beach club on the beach. A lunch plate with meat, a Pincha pulled chicken or the Burgundy croquettes on bread?

Then it’s time for the first activity. You grab the mountain bikes and set off on the 10-kilometre route around the Circuit Zandvoort. Take the old motorway slip road next to the BMW Driving Experience Slotemakers to reach the MTB track. It turns out to be more challenging than expected and even the most experienced MTB riders among you will find it hard work at times. Steep climbs and equally steep descents, sometimes treacherously sharp bends, the wooden Laarwall and then the cars racing along the track in the background: Madness!
Eating with sea view
Tired but satisfied, you return to the lodge. Refresh yourself and make your way to dinner. Take a short walk along the beach promenade and enjoy the view. A group of surfers catch the perfect wave in the sea, the terraces at the pavilions are pleasantly full and a few surf skating boys pass you on the boulevard. Then you arrive at Ohana Beach to grab a bite to eat with a view of the sea.
Set down in the village
After dinner, it’s time for a drink in the village. From the beach, you walk straight into the centre of Zandvoort. In Kerkstraat, Kerkplein and Haltestraat, you will pass several cosy cafés. Time for one last nightcap before going to bed.

After breakfast, it’s time to compete against your friends once again. Your racing skills will be put to the test at the Racesquare at Circuit Zandvoort. You couldn’t wish for a better environment than a Formula 1 racetrack. After a brief explanation, free practice begins, followed by qualifying and, of course, the race. The lights are off!
