There is something special about Zandvoort in winter. The beach is quiet, the air is clear and the wind turns your cheeks red. Just then, it is extra nice to plan a day where you feel the elements outside, but also find a warm place to recharge again and again. This day programme is just such a perfect winter mix.
Adventurous bunker walk in the dunes
We started the day with a bunker walk through the dunes. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature with a story. The route is extra atmospheric in winter: bare dune tops, sandy paths that occasionally lead you uphill and a tranquillity you will find almost nowhere else.
You climb over sandy paths, dive into small tracks and are surprised again and again along the way by the number of bunkers you encounter. Some hidden behind bushes, others prominent in the landscape. It feels like walking through an open-air museum, but in the middle of nature.

Having lunch at NIUS Beach House
After a brisk walk, there is nothing better than a warm lunch by the sea. NIUS Beach House is lovely in winter, precisely because you can really sit down and recharge here. Inside, it’s warm and cosy, and the fireplace completes it all.
We took our time to have an extensive lunch while looking outside. This is one of those places you don’t want to leave anytime soon.

Warming up in Billies Sauna
Then it was time for a real winter experience: warming up in Billies Sauna. The sauna is in the middle of the beach, next to NIUS Beach House, and that alone makes it special. Inside, it is warm and relaxing, and through the windows you look out over the sea. As you warm up, you can see the winter beach outside.
The best moment? Just cooling off. You can go into the sea if you dare, or under the outdoor shower. And then back into the warmth. The contrast between cold and warm is intense, but also delicious. This is winter in Zandvoort at its best.

Around the shopping street
With warmer muscles and a rosy glow on your face, the shopping street is the perfect next stop. It’s extra cosy in winter: atmospheric lighting, fun decorations and that typical cosy atmosphere.
We strolled past boutiques, small shops and fine addresses for a gift or something new for yourself. Just look around quietly, without rushing. Zandvoort feels cosy and convivial in winter, and you notice that here too.

Dinner at Lebanese Restaurant Noya
We ended the day with dinner at Lebanese Restaurant Noya. And honestly: this is not just eating out, this is an experience. Even in winter, you can sit here under the cosy parasols.
The atmosphere is warm and cosy, as if you were welcomed by friends. And the food is amazing. From different Lebanese dishes to share to flavours that surprise you every time. You keep tasting and discovering. Highly recommended for those who love eating together and lots of variety.
And as icing on the cake, we were even given a doggy bag. So nice, because you don’t really want to leave anything out.
