With the long sandy beach with its beautiful surf and cosy beach pavilions on one side and the lively centre, dunes and Circuit Zandvoort on the other, the Zandvoort promenade forms a border between land and sea. A six-kilometre-long border where there is plenty to see and experience.
The beach promenade of Zandvoort is more than 5 kilometres long and one of the few boulevards in the Netherlands with a view of the sea. Ideal for a nice walk with a view of the sea and to breathe in the fresh salty air. From Zandvoort you can walk to Bloemendaal aan zee in 45 minutes.
Your hair in the wind and the fresh, salty sea air in your nose – that’s cycling on the coast of Zandvoort! A cycle path runs parallel to the beach, from where you can see the beach and the sea. To the north of this cycle path you cycle into the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park and to the south through the dunes to Noordwijk aan Zee.
As well as going for a walk, you can also work on your fitness with a view of the sea. There are six fitness machines in the dune bar, which are accessible not only to experienced athletes but also to beginners. So everyone can enjoy the unique experience of working on their health with a beautiful view of the beach and the sea.
You can come across art at various points along the promenade. Several sculptures have been erected, which are also included in the existing sculpture route. You can also enjoy several murals. These can mainly be found around the Fenemaplein.
The picture of the Zandvoort promenade would not be complete without the fish vendors. At these fish carts, as they are popularly known, you can pick up a tasty snack from the sea. The herring is fresh off the knife and the kibbeling is deliciously flavoursome. Enjoy your meal!
If you walk along the beach between March and October, you will see over 30 beach pavilions where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Each has its own menu and style. Fortunately, five of these pavilions are beach bars that are open all year round, so you can warm up after a nice walk even in the winter months.
There are hundreds of paid parking spaces along the promenade. On our car park page you can find out where you can park and how much it costs. Or reserve your parking space directly at P-De Zuid
