You can walk freely almost anywhere in the dunes of the Amsterdam Water Supply. The drinking water nature reserve is exclusively for hikers.
The dune area covers no less than 3,400 hectares, is about 5 kilometres wide and 10 kilometres long and is located between Zandvoort and Noordwijk. Two fixed walking routes start at each of the two main entrances, which you can easily follow with the help of colour-coded signs on wooden posts. There are also some beautiful walking routes that you can follow with the help of a description and a map, and there are fun children’s routes with tasks. Or take part in an excursion and walk through nature together with a guide. There are excursions and activities for young and old.
