Zandvoort is still the only seaside resort in the Netherlands with a direct train connection from Amsterdam. The station is almost on the beach (200 metres)! Planning your trip to Zandvoort is easy.

Departure times of the train

Every 30 minutes, at 11 for half hour and 11 for full hour, a train leaves for Haarlem and Amsterdam. You will then be at Haarlem Station in 11 minutes and Amsterdam Central Station in 31 minutes.

From Amsterdam Centraal, there is a direct train to Zandvoort twice an hour. Did you just miss the direct train to/from Amsterdam or was it too crowded? No problem. Just catch the next train to Haarlem and change there. There are eight trains per hour from Amsterdam Centraal to Haarlem. Travel time is equally long. From Amsterdam, you can enjoy all that Zandvoort has to offer within 30 minutes.

From Haarlem, there is a direct train to Zandvoort twice an hour. In summer, there is even a train from Haarlem to Zandvoort every 15 minutes. During the journey, you make one stopover at Overveen. The distance between Zandvoort and Haarlem by train is about 7 km. Within 10 minutes you are in Zandvoort and can enjoy everything Zandvoort has to offer. Buy ticket

Travelling by train is done with the OV chip card. If you do not have one, you can buy a ticket online at the station, via the NS app, NS website or 9292OV app.

Children aged between 4 and 11 on the train can travel unlimited with a €2.50 railrunner ticket
