The increasing tourism in the Bulb Region and the ‘selfie culture’ have had an impact on the vulnerable bulb fields in recent years.
Visitors to the region often wander carefree through the fields, looking for the most beautiful picture. They are often unaware of the fact that the fields are intended for production and that growers grow their tulips here for bulb production. The fields are destroyed when paths are jumped over, or even walked through the fields!
At Tulip Experience Amsterdam, visitors are informed and given the opportunity to take the perfect picture without damaging the precious fields. The specially constructed selfie/show garden offers endless opportunities to take beautiful pictures among hundreds of thousands of tulips or from one of the special photo points.
The aim is to share knowledge about tulip cultivation in the form of a unique experience.
