Noordvoort

Unique nature reserve between Zandvoort and Noordwijk

Noordvoort is a unique beach reserve in the middle of the Randstad. Between Noordwijk and Zandvoort (between beach posts 73 and 70) you will find three kilometres of beach where nature takes precedence, and where you can experience what this means at the same time. Pure nature, no fences or rubbish bins, free play of wind, sand and water, a resting place for the many birds that visit our coast and a place where seals can come ashore. Robust rows of wooden posts on the beach at beach posts 70 and 73 mark this special quiet area, and tempt the visitor to walk 3 km further over the dunes, via an adventurous hiking trail.

Walking on the sea strip, unique in the Netherlands

Walking over the outer dune row, that is not allowed anywhere else in the Netherlands! The path was constructed to give seals and birds rest on the beach. You can try to spot them from the path and the three lookout points.
