BUKO Soapbox Race

Under their own power, with plenty of creativity and a healthy dose of guts: the Soapbox Race returns to Zandvoort! A spectacular and cheerful race full of self-built vehicles and enthusiastic participants, a party for participants and spectators alike.

Flying Down Oranjestraat After years of absence, a crowd favorite returns: the Soapbox Race on Oranjestraat! Participants race down in homemade vehicles, cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd. Speed is important, but creativity, originality, and perseverance make the difference. Whether you participate as a team, family, or solo hero – the Soapbox Race guarantees spectacle, fun, and unique vehicles on wheels. Along the course, there is plenty of room for spectators who don’t want to miss a thing of this colorful and energetic racing event in the heart of Zandvoort.

Program:

12:00 PM – arrival of the soapboxes in the Parc Fermé on the Church Square, including inspection and judging.

3:00 PM – start of the race, with two descents in Oranjestraat (25 teams).

5:00 PM – award ceremony in front of the Town Hall.

Following this , an afterparty at and in front of Café Noble Tree on Raadhuisplein.
