During this special walk through the dunes, you will discover the bunkers around Zandvoort. Along the way, an expert guide will tell you more about these impressive concrete structures, which were part of the Atlantic Wall. This defensive line was constructed by the Germans along the Western European coast during World War II. Many bunkers are still hidden in the dune landscape.
The bunker walk is made possible by the Zandvoorts Museum and takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. The walk goes through the dunes, so sturdy shoes are recommended.
The walk takes place on August 19 and 26 and starts at 7:00 PM at the entrance to the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes, at Dune on the Duinrand. There is room for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 15 participants.
Entrance to the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes and any parking fees are not included and can be paid on-site at the machine. Tickets for the walk are also available at the Zandvoorts Museum reception desk.
