The best time to visit Zandvoort is spring and especially March if you love peace, nature and fresh sea air. During this month, the coast awakens from winter and everything feels light and new. You walk along a quiet beach, hear only the sound of the waves and feel the first warm rays of sunshine on your face.

Cycling in March
Why is Zandvoort the perfect place for March?
In March you can see how Zandvoort awakens. The dunes are slowly turning green. The fresh, salty smell of the sea is in the air. The beach pavilions open their doors and you drink your coffee overlooking an almost empty beach. This is the time for long walks, leisurely bike rides and quality time for two. Fewer crowds mean more space for you.

What can you do in Zandvoort in March?
March is ideal for getting some fresh air on the beach. You can take lovely walks along the tide line or explore the Zuid Kennemerland National Park. The cosy centre also invites you to have lunch or a coffee.
My tips:
- Take a walk through the dunes. Read my blog about walks through the national park here.
- Run, cycle or walk in one of the sporting events this month.
- Book a holiday over the long Easter weekend. You can find my top 5 here.
- Also read my spring blog for more tips
- Want a budget-friendly holiday? Then the months of March and April are ideal. The prices for hotel rooms are lower and the chances of nice weather are just as good. Take a look at the accommodation
