Beach walk with your dog

Dogs are allowed on the beach all day from 1 October to 1 May. The entire beach is designated as a free-range area and they therefore do not have to be kept on a lead, provided they are well supervised. If you are having a cup of coffee or chocolate milk in one of the pavilions, which are open all year round, they are also welcome here, provided they are kept on a lead.

From 1 May to 30 September, dogs are not allowed on the beach between 09:00 and 19:00. They are welcome on the beach outside of these times. Do you still want to take your dog for a walk on the beach between 09:00 and 19:00 during this period? Then this is possible on the beach behind Parnassia in Bloemendaal aan Zee. There is a clean-up obligation.

Dog in dunes Zandvoort

Dune walk with your dog

Zandvoort offers a fantastic starting point for walks with your dog, especially in the extensive dunes. The so-called dog dunes are ideal for your four-legged friend, as dogs are allowed here and can even run free. One of the most beautiful places to take your dog for a walk is around the Swan Lake in the Zuidduinen.

But that’s not all: the Noordduinen and Wurmenveld nature reserve is a place where dogs are allowed to run free all year round. This offers even more opportunities to enjoy nature while your dog roams free. So put on your walking boots and explore the dunes with your dog!
