Zandvoort is only 30 minutes by train from Amsterdam. I spontaneously took the train to Zandvoort with my friend, to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon at the beach, which in itself was a very exciting feeling! You can walk straight to the beach from the train station. I was amazed to discover the various beach bars on the coastline. Despite being a small village, Zandvoort has a plethora of activities and attractions, and various places for food (of many cuisines) and drinks.

A few tips to visit in Zandvoort on a beach day:

• Drink a Boba Bubble fruit tea at So Yummy

• Enjoy the great Italian food at Cosmico Beach

• Buy an icecream on the boulevard at Ci vediamo

• Relax on the beach and go collect some beautiful shells
