Zandvoorts Open Kampioenschap Makrelen Roken 2025

About 20 smokers will set up on the Kerkplein with their ‘smoking barrel’ at 09:00 and light the fire at 10:00. The mackerels will go in the barrel for 3 to 3.5 hours. At 14:00, they have to hand in 1 mackerel for the championship. The expert jury will determine the winner around 14:30. After the award ceremony, the fresh mackerels will be sold for a good Zandvoort charity.
