Jazz in Zandvoort

The 6th concert of the 21st Jazz season will this time be provided by:

                                              Simon Rigter, tenor saxophone

                      Jean Louis van Dam, piano/Steven Willem Zwanink, bass/Marcel Serierse, percussion

                           Celebrating the music of Billy Strayhorn and Duke Ellington

Playing the saxophone from the age of 12, Simon studied with John Ruocco between 1989 and 1996 and graduated,

graduating with Ferdinand Povel at the Hilversum Conservatoire, and is now a teacher himself at the Conservatorium 

Amsterdam. As a tenor saxophonist, he can be heard in the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, Rotterdam Jazz 

Orchestra and combos with Ruud Breuls, The Simon Rigter Quartet and Tenor Conclave, among others.

Good wine needs no wreath is more than applicable to Jean Louis van Dam, Steven Willem Zwanink and Marcel Serierse

With compositions such as Caravan, In a Sentimental Mood, Take The "A" Train and others, this will be another swinging afternoon.

The concerts will take place in theatre de Krocht, Grote Krocht 41, 2041LV Zandvoort.

Theatre open 13.30 hrs. Hall open 14.15 hrs. Start concert 14.30 hrs.
