VLOED Beleefroute – Festival VLOED

Experience water in the Waterleidingduinen via this unique experience route from Festival VLOED.

VLOED is a festival full of movement. Not from a chair, but along the way, you’ll discover how water shapes Zandvoort. During the Experience Route: Wading in the Dunes, visual theatre artists DeJong&DeWitte invite you to cross over: from solid ground to the fluid, both physically and mentally.

In the heart of the Waterleidingduinen, where fresh dune water is filtered into drinking water, you’ll experience the tension between control and flow through sound, images, and narrative interventions. The experience slows you down, opens you up, and reconnects you with the water that flows beneath our feet and sustains us every day.

At Het Huis van Wester, where time seems to have stood still, the sound of water is dripping, flowing, evaporating, crackling and singing.

Would you like to join us for a walk or cycle?

Walk or cycle independently to the starting point. You can rent a bike in advance through VLOED; you can pick it up at Stationsplein. After purchasing your route ticket, you can reserve your rental bike immediately.

Within your chosen time slot, you’ll arrive at the starting point. From there, you can begin your art experience at your own pace. Wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. The experience takes place in the Waterleidingduinen (Water Supply Dunes) surrounding the Huis van Wester; the walk from the starting point is approximately 9 minutes.
