Discover the Drifting Dunes
During the tour you will experience what it is like to live as a green woodpecker, woodlark or stonechat in a place where the sand blows around your ears every day.
You’ll walk along windbreaks and beautifully flowering dune valleys. You’ll discover the characteristic plants and herbs that thrive here thanks to the drifting sand. Practical Information: Meet your bike at the Duin en Kruidberg entrance. You can bring your own bike or rent a public transport bike at Santpoort-Noord station and cycle with the forest ranger to the beach entrance. This is where the windbreaks and dune valleys are located. This is approximately a 5-kilometer bike ride. Along the way, you’ll stop for explanations and questions about the area’s management.
